Just to try out something different we are holding the Wapping Summer Shindig in Wapping Gardens this year and renaming it Wapping Summer Fete. It will be on Saturday July 13 from 12pm-6.

At 11am Ray Newton from the History of Wapping Trust, will lead a walk travelling from outside the Turk’s Head Cafe to Hermitage Basin, along Spirit Quay and finishing at Wapping Gardens. Come and learn about the docks that once inhabited this area. Also on that day, the River Police Museum will be open from 11am. On the stage we will have dancing, music and all kinds.
